A martingale collar (also known as a greyhound collar or limited choke) is perfect for dogs who slip out of their collars.  This loop on loop system is traditional to sighthound collars and prevents the dog from escaping by tightening up if the dog tries to back out.  With a leash or your hand, the collar tightens to give greater control and reduce the risk of escape. Because it offers limited closure, it's safer than a traditional choke collar.
